Hattie Lorene King Rogers, 93, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Clayton, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at her residence in Florida.
Mrs. Rogers was born on Oct. 15, 1924, in Johnston County to the late James and Lettie Woodall King. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Irvin Rogers; son, James Earlan Rogers; sister, Hazel King; and a brother, Dwight King. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and member of Trinity FWB Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. The Rev. Lloyd Hargis will officiate.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Sherman and husband Richard of Port St. Lucie; son, William Gary Rogers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; sister, Betty McGee of Clayton; and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers are welcomed, however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
