Fredonia Drive, Fayetteville, was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office after a traffic stop for speeding. Deputy Willard Cornell, who pulled over Mr. Trogdon, recognized a description of the vehicle and clothing as matching a suspect description given authorities by a victim who was walking down Elliot Farm Road.
The victim told officers a small car driven by a white male with blonde slicked-back hair and wearing a pink shirt yelled and threw several rocks at him. Detectives later were able to link him to other similar incidents.
Mr. Trogdon now faces 15 counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. A secured bond of $375,000 was set.
