Beasley Swims To 16th In State 200 Freestyle

• Harnett Central relay team finishes 20th

Triton’s Josiah Beasley, the 2017-18 Tri-County 3A Conference Men’s Swimming Swimmer of the Year, swam into 16th place in the men 200-yard freestyle with a finals time of 1:53.26. His preliminary time was 0.83 second faster, at 1:52.43.

A sophomore, Josiah also competed in the men 500-yard freestyle, placing 19th, with a preliminary time of 5:18.93 and a final time clocked at 5:09.24. Lady Hawk sophomore Scotty Temple finished 24 in the 100-yard backstroke preliminaries. Her time was 1:09.98.

The Harnett Central Trojans boys 200-yard freestyle relay team of seniors Spencer Wallis, Luke Bryan, Trenton Wallis and sophomore Will Jones swam a 1:41.57 to place 20th in the preliminaries.
