Chamber Needs Your Help To Make Trick-Or-Treat A Huge Success

Join the Angier Chamber of Commerce for Christmas. Christmas on the Square will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, from 5:30 until 8 p.m. There will be a tree lighting, hayrides, live nativities, live entertainment, kids activities, refreshments, visits with Santa and more. This event is free to the public.

The annual Angier Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. If you would like to reserve a spot in the parade, visit or email angiercc@angierchamber. org for an application. Cost to enter the parade is as follows:

• Handcrafted floats — Churches/non-profits, $25; Other, $55.

• Business vehicles — General, $20; Political, $40

• Beauty queens, $20

• Walkers/bicycles, $5 per person

• Gymnastic/dance groups, $25 per group

• Motorcycle/golf cart/go cart, $10

• Auto or Motorcycle Club, $10 per vehicle, not to exceed $100

• Horses, $10 per horse

• School groups/clubs/sports teams, no charge

Ribbon Cutting

Join the Angier Chamber of Commerce for an upcoming ribbon cutting — Thursday, Oct. 26, at 4:30 p.m., Transitions Life Care located 20 N. Broad St. East, Angier.

Poker Run

To Make A Child Smile will host a Poker Run Saturday.

Registration opens at 9 a.m. with kickstands up at 10 a.m. Cost is $20 per person or $25 with rider. Register at the Angier Clock Tower located at 16 N. Broad St. East, Angier. There will be a drawing for a $3,000 guitar and tickets are $5 each. You can buy your ticket at the event or visit “River Raffle” and search “Angier Bike Fest” to buy online. ‘Bless Your Heart’ Benefit Show

Join the Country on the Outskirts of Town crew and the Harnett Health Foundation for the second annual “Bless Your Heart” Benefit Show Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This event will start off with a catered buffet meal and then The Outskirts Band will take the stage to present a two-hour live show full of your favorite country classics, gospel tunes, bluegrass and maybe even some beach music! Last year’s event was a blast and the money raised to benefit the Harnett Health Foundation is already being put to use to further benefit our community.

They hope to exceed their record last year to continue helping the foundation provide care for our neighbors and loved ones in Harnett County. Businesses and citizens, we need your help on Oct. 31 from 6 until 7 p.m. The Angier Library needs your business, or you as an individual, to help make this year’s trick-or-treat at Depot Square/Ellington Grounds a huge success. Bring a table and lots of individually wrapped candy. What a great way to promote your business while putting a smile on a child’s face. The Angier Chamber of Commerce will be there. Will you be? Dedication Ceremony

The Angier Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Angier would like to invite you to a dedication ceremony for the Crepe Myrtle Pavilion at Depot Square/ Ellington Grounds on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 3:30 p.m. Moonlight Orchestra will perform live after the dedication ceremony.
