Priscilla Shirer Simulcast April 28

You’re invited to a Priscilla Shirer global, one-day simulcast focusing on the power of prayer and learning to study God’s word for yourself. Ms. Shirer is an author, motivational speaker, actress and Christian evangelist. This event is open to women, high school age and older. It will be held April 28 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Evangel Church, 201 Meadow Drive, Fuquay-Varina. It is hosted by iLove Baptist Church and Evangel Church. Magic By David April 22

Outreach Church will host Magic By David for its second annual Kids’ Day on April 22 at 10 a.m. There will be face painting and balloon animals along with a biblically-themed magic show that will leave you on the edge of your seats. Great fun for kids and adults alike. There is no charge for this event and it is open to the public. Pizza will be served immediately following the service.

Upcoming Events At Lillington Star

Lillington Star FWB Church will host Faith & Finance workshops Saturday and April 28 from 10 a.m. to noon. No registration fee is required. The event is free. Come and learn about budgeting, debt elimination, credit score increase, real estate and more. The workshop presenters are Dr. Linwood Carver, BB& T associates, and Sylvia McLean.

Consecration Service Sunday

Spring Hill FWB Church will hold a consecration service Sunday at 3 p.m. for Wilma Merchison.

The pastors are Dr. Stanley A. Williams Jr. and first lady Eldress Phyllis Williams. The church is located at 7682 Burnett Road, Godwin.

Ushers Anniversary Program

Sunday at 3 p.m. the ushers of Mount Olive FWB Church will hold an anniversary program. The speaker will be Eldress Barbara Smith.

Revival At Antioch Baptist

Antioch Baptist Church, 6237 Front St., Falcon, will hold revival services beginning Sunday morning at 11 and continue through Wednesday evening. The evening services will begin at 7. The Rev. Rob Wingo, pastor of Sharon Baptist Church Fayetteville, will be the guest speaker. There will be special music at each service provided by the church choirs and individuals. A nursery will be provided.

Upcoming Events At Pleasant Grove

Sunday at 4 p.m., Pleasant Grove FWB Church will hold a building fund fundraiser. Guest speaker will be Elder Jerry Shaw and Sandy Grove Church from Wade.

On April 19 and 20, revival will be held at 7 p.m. at Pleasant Grove. Dr. Farmer and Shady Grove FWB Church from Spring Lake will render the services.

On April 22 at 3 p.m., Pastor Alexander McAuthor and the Pastor’s Aid will hold a Shoe Rally at Pleasant Grove. (Shoes cost however much your shoe size is. Example: shoe size 8 the cost is $8) The church is located at 1520 Casper Road, Dunn.

Pastoral Appreciation Services

Lillington First Missionary Baptist Church announces its sixth pastoral appreciation services. They will celebrate with the Rev. S.L. Raines and his family April 19-20 at 7 p.m. and April 22 at 11 a.m.

April 19 will be Community Fellowship Night. Pastor Raines is heavily involved in the community and its activities. Pastor Lewis Geddie, president of the Lillington Area Ministers Association, will preach and other community ministers and friends are invited to come and worship that night.

April 20 will be the District Fellowship Night. Pastor Raines is the moderator of the third district of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association. Pastor Latonya Agard, along with Bazzel Creek Missionary Baptist Church and representatives from the 10 other churches in the district, will join in worship.

The services will conclude with the official Appreciation Day during the morning worship service. The in-house ministers and leaders will lead in worship and the celebration of the pastor’s ministry.

Community Yard Sale April 28

First Baptist Church of Linden will have a community yard sale on April 28 from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Individual yard sale spaces or vendor spaces can be reserved for $10 per space or two spaces for $15 (same individual or vendor). This is open to the entire community. In the event of rain, the community yard sale will move to May 5 from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Prayer Breakfast Saturday

St. Stephens Disciples of Christ Church, 206 S. Sampson Ave., Dunn, will sponsor a prayer breakfast Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The theme is “The Power Of Prayer.” There will be tickets available for a donation of $10. The guest speaker will be Pastor Odetta Batts of Mingo Hill Church. Bible scriptures will be read by Bishop David Patterson of Walkers Chapel and St. Peters Church. Eldress Cheryl A. Davis of Charity Christian Center and Pastor Terry Spears of Darden Chapel Church will also speak at this event.

The pastor is Dr. Janie Robinson and the sponsor is Marie Wynn Quick.

Family, Friends Day At The Love Center

The Love Center, 345 Jackson Road, Dunn, will hold Family and Friends Day Sunday at 11 a.m. A fellowship dinner will be served following the morning service. All are invited to this service. Dr. W.J. Haire is the pastor.

Green’s Chapel News

You’re invited to join the YPCL and Green’s Chapel FWB Church’s Youth Holy Night tonight at 7. The guest speaker will be Minister Michael Boone of Victory & Dominion World Outreach Center, Snow Hill. He will be accompanied by the Lillington Grove Youth Choir and the True Holiness Youth Choir. The theme is “The Truth About Peer Pressure.”

Green’s Chapel FWB Church will also hold a musical and praise dance program Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest group will be The Faithful Few of Erwin.

Community Yard Sale Saturday

Greater Faith & Deliverance Ministry, located at 7070 Plain View Highway, Dunn, will host a community yard sale Saturday. The yard sale will begin at 7 a.m. Rental space is available.

You are invited to come worship with Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church to help celebrate its pastor’s pre-appreciation/anniversary service Sunday at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Dr. Charles Kelly, a member of Glad Tidings Church, Dunn. He is the past superintendent of the Assemblies of God, N.C. District.

Eldress Sandra Baker will speak April 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Perpetual Covenant Fellowship in Lillington. The pastor there is Eldress Glenda Dunlap.

God’s House Of Prayer News

There will be a Joy Night service tonight at 7:30 at God’s House of Prayer in Dunn. The preacher will be Eldress Rosin Campbell. Music will be by the GHOP Choir.

Women’s Day will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at God’s House of Prayer. The preacher will be Pastor Eric McArthur. The GHOP Choir will sing.
