The Dunn CrimeStoppers met earlier this month to begin planning for the National Night Out event at Tyler Park coming up Aug. 7.
“The event promises to build on the great successes from last year in promoting community safety, police relations and providing a safe space for all to enjoy a night out,” said Patrick Riley, Dunn CrimeStoppers president.
Mr. Riley also said citizens of Dunn will begin to see new CrimeStoppers signage posted throughout the community as the organization looks to promote more community involvement. The signage lists the CrimeStoppers phone number, website and states “CALL ANYTIME! CASH FOR CLUES! YOU NEVER HAVE TO GIVE YOUR NAME.” These signs will be spread out in each district to help remind the public that the Dunn CrimeStoppers organization will pay you for tips/information that lead to the arrest of individuals suspected of criminal activity.
The CrimeStoppers phone number is 910-892-2222.
