Dunn Man Facing Indecent Liberties

Tabarus Massey 41, of Sawyer Circle in Dunn turned himself in to the Harnett County Detention Center on Wednesday after warrants were obtained for his arrest.

He is charged with four counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, two counts of first-degree sexual offense and one count of statutory rape sex offense.

The investigation began in September 2016 when Dunn Police was notified of these allegations.

Dunn Police tried a number of times to serve arrest warrants on Mr. Massey, but were unable to locate him. Due to the victims being so young, their names and ages are not being released nor is information being provided on where the crimes occurred.

In 2008 Mr. Massey was convicted of misdemeanor assault on a female and in 2009 he was convicted of DWI. He currently remains in the Harnett County Detention Center on a secured bond set at $300,000 with a court date set for Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m. in Lillington.
