A Dunn man was jailed after a reported assault over the weekend in Sampson County.
According Sampson County Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith, deputies were called to the emergency room at Betsy Johnson Hospital Saturday after the victim reported the incident while seeking treatment.
When they arrived, deputies were told Ryan Alexander Tyndall, 24, of Godwin Estate Lane, Dunn, allegedly inflicted a laceration to the victim’s neck.
“The victim stated the suspect cut him with an unknown object,” Lt. Smith said. “Warrants were obtained for the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident. The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.”
The incident reportedly took place at a residence on Plain View Highway.
Mr. Tyndall was charged with one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and was placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
