Orlando Aponte, 33, of Bunnlevel died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017.
He was born in Deridder, La. He and his family later moved to North Carolina. Mr. Aponte attended Western Harnett High School and graduated from Central Carolina Community College. His occupation as a cook led him to work for a variety of restaurants in Harnett County. He was employed at Frontier in Sanford.
On Saturday, there will be a family viewing from 1 to 1:30 p.m. and from 1:30 to 4 p.m., there will be a memorial family and friends gathering at Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Dunn.
Survivors include his parents, Antonio Mendez and Norma I. Mendez; his brother, Yamil Aponte; sisters, Liz Angelica Aponte, Jessica Fink and Joannie Olander; nephews, Jack Olander, Gideon Rodriguez, Yamil Aponte Jr. and Colby Aponte; nieces, Lydia Villegas, Rebekah Victoria, Iris Rodriguez and Darielis Rivera; his grandmother, Ana Angelica Alicea; and grandfather, Victor Aponte.
