Triton Wins On Senior Night

Triton’s varsity soccer team topped Western Harnett 5-2 on Wednesday night as the Hawks honored senior players.

Senior Jose Ramos, who also kicks for the football team, had a versatile performance that included four saves in goal, a goal and an assist.

Junior Gage Smith had two goals to push his total for the season to 22. Smith also contributed an assist. The Hawks also got goals from sophomore Julian Serano and junior Bert Strickland.

ing assists were freshman Merced Mendez and junior Paul Wells.

Triton improved to 5-10-1 overall and 2-6 in the Tri-County Six 3-A Conference.

The Hawks were scheduled for a nonconference game at Cape Fear on Thursday night that had not ended at press time.
