Midway through the second quarter, Pope connected with Jackson for a 50-yard touchdown. The conversion was no good.

Coats-Erwin fumbled on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter. That led to Freeman scoring on a 46-yard run to put the Blackhawks on the board.

Midway through the fourth quarter, a bad snap on a Falcon punt gave the Blackhawks a short field. That led to Asher Norman scoring on a 5-yard quarterback sneak. Unfortunately, he also suffered a leg injury on the play and was taken off the field in an ambulance.

When play resumed, Freeman ran for two to give the Blackhawks the lead.

Late in the fourth, Nathan McKoy recovered a fumble at the Shughart 46-yard line to give Coats-Erwin one more chance with 1:28 remaining. But with time winding down, a halfback pass was tipped by Cedric Alexander and intercepted by Keyshawn Barton to allow the Blackhawks to run out the clock.
