Sampson County deputies located a moonshining operation at 775 Mt. Elam Church Road, Roseboro, which is located in the Midway community.
A tip led to the discovery of the illegal alcohol operation Monday.
Travis Wayne Perry of Cumberland County was arrested and charged with possessing non-tax paid alcohol, use of property to manufacture non-tax paid alcohol, possess for sale non-tax paid alcohol, manufacture non-tax paid alcohol and possessing equipment for the manufacture of non-tax paid alcohol.
This is the second time a still has been found on the property. Sampson County deputies and ALE agents dismantled an illegal still manufacturing non-tax paid alcohol in June of 2012. The property owner, Samuel Scott Byrd, was charged with manufacturing non-tax paid alcohol for the 2012 operation.
