To the editor:
I am writing this letter in the hopes that it is published so that a local business can be recognized for their caring, thoughtful and continued support after a needless tragedy that took the life of my daughter’s husband just one week before Christmas.
My son-in-law was killed on Dec. 18 by a reckless teenager while simply making his was home from his job. This was such a shocking and horrible accident that really did not need to happen. I live in Toledo, Ohio, and we traveled down as quickly as possible to help support our daughter and her children in this terrible time of grief.
Upon arriving, a gentleman by the name of Brian Stewart stopped by the house to let my daughter know that the people at her husband’s place of employment were going to do whatever they could to help her in this awful time. This company is a truck driving school by the name of Roadmaster. The people that work at this business really came through for our family. Every employee had donated the gift cards that they received for a Christmas bonus to my daughter and her children. Not only that, but just this last Friday they dropped off more cards that were donated by other Roadmaster schools.
Many people took the time to come and repair her brakes and make sure that she had what she needed. Another gentleman picked us all up to take us to the funeral services so we didn’t have to worry about the drive. I would just like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your company is just amazing. You truly deserve to be recognized for all your kindness. From Jeff Clark, the manager, to Greg, our driver, my family will never forget. Thank you.
