Campbell has begun preseason preparations for the upcoming 2019 football season.

The Camels reported back to Buies Creek on Thursday, hitting the field for their first practice on Friday morning at 7:30.

The team’s preseason camp schedule includes 13 total practice sessions with three scrimmage dates, with the first coming on Aug. 10 at Barker-Lane Stadium. CU’s second scrimmage will be held on Aug. 17, with a third on Aug. 24, a week prior to the Camels’ 2019 season opener at Troy.

The third and final scrimmage will coincide with CU’s annual Fan Fest, officially closing out preseason camp.

The team will participate in two team-building sessions, also taking part in mental toughness training and hearing from several special speakers throughout camp in addition to strength and conditioning training, plus team meetings.
