Women’s Conference Starts Tonight

Pleasant Grove FWB Church will hold a Women’s Conference tonight at 7 and Saturday at 10 a.m. The theme is “Women Moving Ahead For Christ.” The speaker tonight will be Eldress Young and the speaker Saturday will be Eldress Smith. The conference is sponsored by first lady Norma McArthur. The host pastor is Alexander McArthur.

Gospel Sing At Pentecost Worship

Two-Day Gospel Sing Set

There will be a two-day gospel sing Saturday and Sunday. Saturday at 6 p.m., the gospel sing will be at New Hope Baptist Church, 3675 Rose Hill Road, Fayetteville. Sunday, the gospel sing will be at Rockfish Church of God, 7869 Rockfish Road, Raeford. Featured on the program will be the Port City Quartet and Larry Chason. Admission is free. A love offering will be received at each sing.

Fill-Your-Bag Yard Sale

Blessing Box Ministry will hold a $5 fill-your-bag yard sale Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Brent Adams office parking lot, 119 S. Lucknow Square, Dunn.

This organization is nonprofit and all proceeds go toward assisting families in Harnett, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland and Wake counties.

Red Hill MB Church will hold a 30th birthday celebration and eighth ministerial anniversary celebration of first lady Evangelist Whitnei Diarra Holman Johnson Saturday at 4 p.m. The Rev. Anissa Thompson Little, first lady of Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church, Pittsboro, along with the choir, ushers, musicians and congregation will be the keynote speaker and featured guests. Evangelist Veronica Ingram-Williams from Cameron Grove AME Church, Broadway, will be the ceremonialist for the evening. Refreshments will follow the program in the fellowship hall.

The church is located at 1160 Red Hill Road, Cameron. Bishop Tavaris La Keith Johnson Sr. is the senior pulpitarian and Evangelist Whitnei Holman Johnson is the first lady.

Grazing Mountains To Host VBS

Grazing Mountains Church and Pastor Rhonda Ray will host “Get Slimed” Vacation Bible School today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. The location will be at Tart Park, 1269 S. Elm Ave., Dunn.

Benefit Spaghetti Supper Today

There will be a benefit spaghetti supper for Evelyn Aranda today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Benson United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Donations will be accepted for the meal. There will also be a silent auction.

Alice Hobbs In Concert At Piney Grove Chapel

Female soloist, Alice Hobbs will be featured Sunday at 6 p.m. during Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church’s Super Sunday Nights Series. Services will be held throughout the summer beginning at 6 p.m.

The Super Sunday Nights Series will feature many of the nation and region’s most talented singers, musicians and quartets.

Crusaders Of Erwin In Concert At Mingo Baptist

VBS At Bethel OFWB

Bethel OFWB Church, 3168 N.C. 96 South, Four Oaks, will conduct Vacation Bible School with the theme “Game On” from July 11-15. Registration will be held July 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. Classes for all ages will be provided. Dinner will be served on Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. with classes following until 9 p.m. On Saturday, classes run from 2 to 5 p.m., with supper and activities following until 9. It will conclude on Sunday with Lesson 5 at 10 a.m. and commencement at 11. A spaghetti lunch will follow for donations.

Tonight at 7:30, Apostle Leroy Smith of Eleventh Hour Ministry will deliver the message for Faith & Power’s Men’s Conference. Women are welcome to attend.

Community Connection Carnival June 30

Nehemiah Building Ministries, in collaboration with Cutts Chapel FWB Church, will host a Community Connection Carnival Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at 2225 N.C. 55 East, Dunn. The event is free to all. There will be food and drinks, extreme inflatables, horseback rides, games and more. A health fair, sponsored by Harnett healthcare providers, will also be held.

Fourth Of July Celebration At Long Branch

You’re invited to join Long Branch Church on July 4 at 6 p.m. for a Fourth of July Celebration. There will be hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings and homemade ice cream.

All-Night Sing Saturday

Featured on the program will be The Oak Grove Boys and Stephanie of Elm City, Rivenbark Ministries of Garner, The Joys of Virginia Beach, Va., The Alcorta Family Band of Clinton, The Ambassadors of Rocky Mount, and The Crusaders of North Carolina of Erwin. Fish Fry Plate Sale July 7

Consuming Fire Prophetic Outreach Ministry will hold a fish fry plate sale July 7 starting at 11 a.m. at Kelly & West parking lot, 900 S. Main St., Lillington. Plates will consist of two pieces of fish, potato salad, slaw, baked beans, pound cake, bread, and soda or water. The cost is $7 or three-piece fish plate for $10. Fish sandwich and soda or water will be $5.

Pre-sale orders must be a minimum of 10 to 15 plates for delivery radius of 20 miles.

There will also be a free clothes giveaway. Women, men and children’s clothes will be available.

Revival Starts July 10 At Dunn Chapel

Dunn Chapel FWB Church, 607 E. Edgerton St., Dunn, will hold its annual revival July 10-12 at 7 nightly. The speaker will be Bishop Reginald S. Hinton of Mt. Pisgah OFWB Church, Erwin. You’re invited to come for a time of worship and fellowship together. There will be different musical guests, with Mt. Pisgah rendering the service on the last night. The host pastor is Elder Timothy Thomas.

New Beginning News

Minister Latasha Baker will speak Saturday at 10 a.m. at Green’s Chapel Church on a Women’s Conference. Dr. Hattie Lofton will be the guest speaker at New Beginning Love Fellowship Ministry on Sunday at 11 a.m. The host pastor is Larry Baker.

God’s House Of Prayer News

There will be a Joy Night service tonight at 7:30 at God’s House of Prayer, 809 E. Broad St., Dunn. The preacher will be Pastor Eric McArthur. A Men’s Day service will be Sunday at 11 a.m. with Elder Alvin Smith as the preacher. All men are in charge of the services for the day. All music will be rendered by the choir.

Patriotic Family Day At Bethesda

Bethesda Friends will celebrate Patriotic Family Fun on July 7 at the church. Activities will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. There will be volleyball, basketball, corn hole, a bouncy house as well as competitive games to participate in. There will be something for everyone, including crafts for seniors. The Plain View Fire Department will be there demonstrating various fire safety tips and providing some hands-on experience. Hot dogs with all the trimmings will be served at lunchtime. Everyone is invited to join in this free celebration with lots of fun, food and good community fellowship.

Women’s Conference At Green’s Chapel

Green’s Chapel FWB Church will hold a Women’s Conference tonight at 7:30 and Saturday at 10 a.m. The speaker tonight will be Judge Addie Rawls from Smithfield. Saturday, the speakers will be Minister Latasha Baker, Nell McKoy, Shatilla Gainey, Christina Surles and Kimberly Dunn-Palamina. The program is open to the public and it’s free. The host pastor is Elder Demetrius Elliott.
