Country breakfast at Banner Chapel

A country breakfast will be held Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. in the Christian Ministries Center at Banner Chapel Church. The breakfast is sponsored by the Mattie Beasley Society, Edna Phipps Society and Thee Men’s Group, and funds raised will be used to support the church’s Honduras Team. Donations accepted only.

Banner Chapel is located on N.C. 50 East, Benson.

Plate sale fundraiser

Hood’s Grove Baptist Church will hold a barbecue chicken and pork fundraiser Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the church, 677 Hood’s Grove Church Road, Newton Grove. The cost is $8 per plate. For more information, call 919-894-5977.

Women’s Conference set Nov. 17

Harvest Day at
Beulah Baptist

Beulah Baptist Church will hold its annual Harvest Day Nov. 17 beginning at 11 a.m. The drive-thru will continue through 6:30 p.m. and the inside buffet will close at 7 p.m. Those choosing to eat inside will enjoy barbecue pork, chicken pastry, boiled potatoes, green beans, slaw, yams, hushpuppies, desserts and drinks. The cost is $8.

in concert

Associate ministers to be honored

at Coats PFWB

Coats PFWB Church’s Women’s Ministries will hold a Harvest Day Nov. 17 from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be cakes, pies, candies and crafts.

Calvary Baptist to hold Harvest Day

Calvary Baptist Church will hold its annual Harvest Day Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. They will serve barbecue pork or chicken pastry for an $8 donation. Plates will be available for carry out or eat-in buffet. An auction featuring homemade baked goods, quilts, handmade items and other assorted items will begin at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Bethel Auxiliary to host fall bazaar

Bethel OFWB Church Woman’s Auxiliary will host a fall bazaar Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade chili, soup, hot dogs, baked goods, crafts and second-time-around items will be available. starts Nov. 15

Greater Faith & Deliverance Ministry will hold its fall revival Nov. 15-16 at 7:30 p.m.

The speaker on Nov. 15 will be Elder James Carthen. The speaker Nov. 16 will be Bishop William Walker Jr. along with Cedar Creek United Holy Church of Fayetteville.

Randall’s Chapel PFWB Church will observe its annual homecoming on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Horace Johnson, the church’s pastor, will bring the message. A covered dish lunch will be served following the service. There will be no Sunday school.

anniversary service

The congregation of Mt. Olive FWB Church, 7339 River Road, Wade, will honor their pastor, Bishop John and first lady Patricia McDowell, on his 22nd pastoral anniversary. The celebration will be held Sunday at 11 a.m.

Rainbow Tea, Joy Night service

“A Promise, is A Promise!” Rainbow Tea will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at You Are Special Ministries. Keynote speakers will be first lady Eldress Betty Washington of Cutts Chapel FWB Church, and Pastor Alexandria Gainey of The Matrix Ministries. Following will be a special catered dinner.

On Nov. 30, there will be a Joy Night service at 7:30 p.m. at You Are Special Ministries with a message of empowerment from Pastor Glenn Williams of Jesus Saves Christian Ministries. Also featured will be musical guest BibleWay Pentecostal Ministries Mass Choir.

St. Stephen’s to hold Fall Festival

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual Fall Festival Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 201 Denim Drive, Erwin. Featured this year is a Second Cup Café with a variety of breakfast items, original art by a prominent local artist, baked goods, frozen foods, pickles, and needlework. Also included is a yard sale which will have collectible glass pieces, including Westmoreland, Fenton, and Milk Glass and many Christmas items. Raffle tickets will be on sale for a 50-inch Samsung HD 4K TV, a handcrafted amethyst pendant, and an 8-quart pressure cooker.

Turkey giveaway
Nov. 17

A “Give Thanks Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway,” hosted by Pastor Rhonda Ray and Grazing Mountains Church, will be held on Nov. 17 will begin at noon and go until all turkeys are gone.

The event will be held at the D&H Mart located a 908 N. Clinton Ave., Dunn. The church will be giving away 200 turkeys to families in need.

Spaghetti lunch fundraiser

Long Branch Church’s Point Man Ministry’s annual spaghetti lunch fundraiser and cake auction will be held at Long Branch Church on Sunday immediately following the 10 a.m. worship service. The community is invited to join in and support this worthwhile ministry.

Point Man is an outreach ministry for the local community and military worldwide whose motto is “No Buddy Left Behind.” Long Branch Church is located at 1013 Long Branch Road, Dunn, east of I-95 South at exit 71.

Revival at New Zealand PFWB

Revival will be held at New Zealand PFWB Church beginning Sunday at 11 a.m. and at 6 p.m. It will continue Monday through Wednesday at 7 each night. The speaker will be Evangelist Garrett Marchant.

The church is located at 5312 Meadowbrook Road in the Meadow community.

Church anniversary celebration

Sunday at 11 a.m., Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the church’s 98th anniversary. The Rev. Floyd Ray will bring the morning message. Dinner will be served after the service.

Prayer news

There will be a Friday Night Joy service tonight at 7:30 at God’s House of Prayer. Speakers will be the church’s elder ministers and the Senior Choir will accompany in song. Sunday will be Family and Friends Day. The preacher will be Bishop Apelles Hart Sr. The Senior Choir will sing. Service time is 11 a.m.

Plate sale Nov. 17

Smith Chapel Disciple of Christ Church, Selma, will present a plate sale Nov. 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Juniper Grove Church, 5350 U.S. 301 South, Four Oaks. Eat in or take out will be available. Plates will consist of grilled chicken, boiled potatoes, string beans, cake and roll. The price is $7 or $8 with a can of soda/water.

Falcon Church of God of Prophecy will observe homecoming Sunday at 11 a.m. Featured will be the gospel singers Shepherd’s Voice. Dinner will follow.
