One victim was taken to an area hospital Tuesday night after being shot in the southwestern part of the county.
Harnett County Sheriff’s Lt. Aaron Meredith said Timmy Robert Lemons, 36, of Lillington shot Jimmy White of Bunnlevel in the leg in an incident at a home located at 9750 N.C. 210 in Bunnlevel. He told investigators he was acting in self-defense after Mr. White threatened him. He then shot Mr. White again as he attempted to flee, Lt. Meredith
Mr. Lemons is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill in the incident involving Mr. White.
He faces additional charges as a result of the incident involving a female who lives at the residence. He is charged with felonious restraint after allegedly confining Fay Cullember in an automobile at the scene.
She was able to escape from the car. Mr. Lemons is charged with first-degree kidnapping and felonious restraint involving Ms. Cullember, who was not injured.
According to Sgt. Meredith, both Mr. White and Mr. Lemons were involved in a relationship with Ms. Cullember at one point.
First responders with the Flat Branch Fire Rescue Department also responded to the scene to provide medical care. Mr. White was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.
