Royal Rangers Pine Car Derby Held

Benson’s Outreach Church Royal Ranger Outpost No. 257 took home several trophies.


The Royal Rangers North Carolina District Pine Car Derby Race was held on June 23 at Iglesia Cristiana in Cary. Outreach Church Royal Ranger Outpost No. 257 of Benson took home several trophies, including Fastest Overall. This was Outreach Church’s first year attending this event.

Eli Dixon won first place in the Ranger Kids Division and Fastest Overall. Jeremy Tart won first place in the Discovery Rangers Division. Jase Tart won second place in the Rainbows Division. J.T. Norris won third place in the Adventure Rangers Division.

Outreach Church invites any young men in grades K-12 who are interested in participating in this program to contact Larry Withrow at 919-920-4944.

Outreach Church also has Mpact Girls for young ladies in grades K-12 who will participate in next year’s derby race, as well as many other fun Ranger events.

Outreach Church is located at 603 S. Wall St. in Benson, across the street from Carlie C’s IGA. Sunday morning worship service is held at 10 a.m. every Sunday. Dr. Larry Withrow is pastor.
