Vendors needed for craft, yard sale benefit

The Benson Center for Active Aging is looking for vendors to participate in an indoor craft and yard sale fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. BCAA is a nonprofit center for older adults in the community. For $25 you can get an 8- by 10-foot booth with a table. If you bring your own table the fee will be $20. Those interested may contact program coordinator Debra Cardone at 919-701-1477 for more information.

Rotary issues call for artists

The Angier Rotary is looking for your artists to participate in its Art Auction and Art Sale on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Participation can be with or without a donation with a booth to sell your products from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Angier Depot.

Registration underway for Chalk Fest

The Harnett County Arts Council is taking registration for Chalk Fest 2019. This year’s event will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 7 on North Wilson Avenue in downtown Dunn.

Early registration is recommended. There will only be 24 squares available — eight squares per age group.

Registration is $15 per square, which includes a reserved spot on the street and one pack of Mungyo Gallery Standard Soft Pastel Blistercart set of 24 chalk pieces per square.

Registration will be open until all spaces are filled or until Aug. 26. For information or to register, contact Harnettartscouncil@gmail.com.
