BUIES CREEK — Campbell earned another Big South Conference regular-season baseball title with its 12-4 win over Radford University at home Thursday.
The Camels have now won four consecutive regular-season championships.
The win takes Campbell to 35-16 overall and 19-3 in the Big South. Nineteen conference wins ties the program record for most league wins in a 24-game conference schedule.
Campbell trailed early after Radford tagged Thomas Harrington for three runs in the third. The Camels then made a steady climb back, scoring in each of the next five frames en route to 12 runs.
Jarrod Belbin went deep to lead off a five-run fifth inning, his 15th of the year, to help the Camels go up 8-3.
Logan Jordan delivered an opposite field three-run shot in the sixth to break the game open and tally his 11th blast of the season.
Jordan tallied a team-high three hits alongside four RBI on the night.
Zach Neto extended his hit streak to 25 games and raised his season average to .392 on a 2-for-4 night.
Harrington notched his 11th win of the season on the hill, tying a program record with Wes Helper in the 2001 season. His 11 wins remain good for the most in the country this season.
Waldy Arias also tied a program record, getting plunked by the 58th pitch of his career in the eight.
Campbell and Radford return Friday at 6 p.m. for the second game of the series. Tomorrow's gameday promotions include Buies Creek Elementary School night and Friday Night Fireworks.
