Camels win 1st Big South tourney

Campbell men's basketball beat Charleston Southern, 67-53, to win the 1992 Big South Conference Tournament. 

It marked the program's first Big South title and its only appearance in the NCAA men's basketball tourney. 

Fayetteville native Mark Mocnik scored a team-high 20 points and was named MVP. 

"If it wasn't me, someone else would have done it," Mocnik told The Daily Record following the game.

Other members on the team included Salaam Hall, Mike Torrence, Jared Harrison, Bobby Murray, Keith Ison, Steve Martin, Scott Neely, Jamie Lee, Billy Ellison, Mike Hall, Mike Rice, Joe Spinks and Doug Mitchell.

The Camels were coached by Billy Lee.
