ERWIN — Deborah Frances Wade, 65, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 25, 1954, in Erwin, daughter of the late Leon and LaVerne Wade. She graduated from Erwin High School in 1972. Afterward she completed a Fashion Design and Merchandising Program at Hardbarger’s Business College in Raleigh. She then worked as a sales associate at Ivey’s Department Store in Raleigh for several years.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at Erwin Memorial Park with the Rev. Robbie O’Quinn officiating.
She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Wade and sister-in-law, Joyce Wade of Dunn; her beloved feline companion, Dandy; and Joyce’s brother and wife, Ray and Joy Weeks of Dunn.
Although flowers are welcome, because of her love for animals, memorial contributions in Debbie’s memory can be made to The Humane Society of the United States, P.O. Box 96930, Washington, DC 20077-7229.
