The Dunn City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at the Dunn Municipal Building, 401 E. Broad St.

Police recognitions and new employee introductions will be presented.

Consent items include a resolution to accept ARPA funds for stormwater upgrades; special event permits and blocking streets for a bicycle safety demonstration and Broad Street 5K Run and Food Truck Rodeo; a resolution to change scheduled council meetings; destruction of records for the planning and inspections department; a resolution declaring property surplus and authorizing its disposal; a N.C. Department of Transportation Inspection of Bridges Municipal Agreement; and a resolution requesting authorization to remove parking places on Clinton Avenue, U.S. Highway 301.

The council is set to discuss and take action on the following items:

• Rezoning requests for properties on South Clinton Avenue, North Orange Avenue, Cooke Street and East Best Street;
• Giving a property at 511 E. Townsend St. to the Dunn Community Development Corporation;
• Designs for improvements to the Black River Wastewater Treatment Plant;
• Bids and bond sales for certain sewer rehabilitation projects;
• USDA loans for a street sweeper, police cars and a public services facility;
• Setting a special meeting for a budget workshop;
• Considering a property owner’s request for land to be brought into the city;
• Adopting a resolution of intent to annex city-owned property;
• And hearing reports on council goals.
