Four Seasons Garden Club meets virtually

The Four Seasons Garden Club of Lillington met via Zoom on Oct. 7. Club President Barbara Wilson called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. with nine members online.

Peggy Barnes read the collect. Old business was discussed and club members we will not be able to have a fundraiser due to most events being called off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Pinecrest Gardens Nursing Home Christmas stockings were discussed. Club members will take the filled stockings to the facility and the staff will pass them out to the residents.

A list of the items needed will be given to members at the next meeting in November, so they can sign up for the items to be purchased.

Club members will not go into the facility to sing carols as they usually do each year.

“Happy Birthday” was sung to Mary Jane Matthews.

The program for October was a short video by the Extension Service webworm control.

September meeting

Ten club members joined in for a virtual meeting on Zoom in September.

President Barbara Wilson presided and brought everyone up-to-date on the latest information concerning club members. She shared ideas about upcoming meetings and projects.
