1981 Midway baseball state title

The Raiders (12-8) finished the regular season second in the Carolina 1-A Conference, but rattled off three straight wins to start the playoffs. They defeated Topsail, Bear Grass and Jamesville, to capture the 1-A Eastern Championship and advance to the state title series.

Midway swept Nakina in two games, winning by scores of 6-4 and 19-7, to take its first state title in baseball.
