She was born on June 8, 1953, to Louis and Alease Burdi. Growing up in the Chicago area, she found the love of her life in rural North Carolina, whom she married in 1972. While she wore many hats in life, she took pride in her greatest role as a mother to her beloved only son and grandsons. She was a mother figure to many. She retired in 2014 as office manager from the dental office of Townsend and Townsend. She gave her best in everything she did and found her joy in making those around her happy, especially her family. Those that were privileged to know her would say that she made the world around her sparkle.
She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Terry Ryals; son, TJ (Bethaney); grandsons, Cambridge and Asher; mother, Alease Burdi; sister, Anna Craig Burdi; brother, Tony Burdi; brother, Louis Burdi; along with several nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Louis Burdi.
