The Golden Apple Award is a Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce program to help recognize the efforts of standout teachers in Dunn area schools.
Administrators, teachers, counselors, parents and students are encouraged to nominate an outstanding teacher currently teaching full time at a Dunn area public or private school, which is an active member of the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber’s Education Committee presented Golden Apple Awards for April to the following:

Williams was nominated by Betsy Dean, administrator. The nomination stated, “Mrs. Williams epitomizes what it means to be an exemplary teacher. She cares about her students’ academic and spiritual welfare. She prays with them and for them. She holds them accountable when they fail and celebrates with them when they succeed. She’s a mentor to students and other staff members with a humility that others want to emulate. Mrs. Williams is a pivotal partner at BCA and we can’t imagine out school without her.”

She works very hard to make sure every student feels special and gets the help they need. She communicates well with parents and addresses their concerns. Amanda is a ray of sunshine for all of us that have a chance to work with her. Her positive attitude and caring nature follow her through each hallway. She is a welcome addition to Dunn Middle.”
