DUNN — Mrs. Hilda Weaver Lucas, 76, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 7, 2020, at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab. She born Aug. 4, 1944, in Harnett County to the late Charlie and Ava Anderson Weaver. She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. James R. Weaver Sr. and Charles L. Weaver Sr.
A private service will be held at later date.
She is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis Jackson Roberts of Coats and Billie Jo Jackson Tyndall and husband Joseph of Dunn; a granddaughter, Kelli Tyndall Matthews and husband Travis of Dunn; a great-grandson, Mason R. Matthews; a brother, Sherrill Weaver and wife Rebecca of Benson; a sister, Dorothy Jean Hudson of Godwin; and several niece and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Harnett Woods for all their love and special care.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
