A local country favorite will provide the music Thursday for the Lions Vision First Concert Ball.

Angier native, Paige King Johnson, a three-time 2020 Carolina Country Music Awards winner, will provide the entertainment.

Earlier this year, she was named Female Vocalist of the Year, Country Emerging New Artist and Country Tour of the Year with Faith Bardill.

Tickets are still on sale for the event that is planned for 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Milltown Farm, 183 Moore St., Erwin. Proceeds will benefit the Erwin Lions Club for use in helping those with essential vision needs.

Continuing the success of her current single “Just Like You,” with accompanying music video, co-directed by Pam Tillis and producer Josh Sikkema and debuted on CMT, Johnson has been climbing the Music Row chart and added to country radio across the United States.

A graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, Johnson has performed at the Bluebird Café and other noted Music City venues, and has opened for James Otto, Neal McCoy, Scotty McCreery and other performers.

The singer songwriter is ready for the live concert event Thursday, especially after all the cancellations over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m so looking forward to joining the Erwin Lions Club for this year’s event,” she said. “It’s been a long time coming ...”

“Any chance I get to play a show near my hometown and see some familiar faces in the crowd, I’m there all the way,” she added. “And now with things finally opening back up and people feeling comfortable enough to get out and about again, I have a feeling this night will be one to remember for the Lions Club. I know my band and I am ready for it!”

Tickets are $35 each and may be purchased by calling 910-897-8448.
