To the editor:
Last week, I came across two roadside incidents where large yellow mowers turned several pieces of trash into thousands of pieces of roadside decoration for Easter Sunday.
This decorative effort by contractors, county, state or who even knows, goes on periodically in our little town.
My question is why contractors/county/DOT/state of North Carolina can’t be held accountable for this very blatant and obvious littering of our roadsides? Wonder what would happen if someone bush-hogged 10 or 12 bags of clothing in front of the governor’s office or the legislature’s building?
