Oct. 5, what’s so special about this date? [article, “Masks will become optional in Harnett County Schools starting Oct. 5”]

They didn’t take into effect the fact that numerous teachers have elderly parents they take care of, and one-sided masks don’t work, that now we will see a rise of other illnesses in the schools, because masks work, and they just took that first line of defense away.

They allowed an hour of the same talking point over and over again instead of balancing out the debate. Why? Because it was for show. Their minds were made up before [the meeting].

Talk about overreach. A five-day quarantine, which they are aiming for, won’t work. And a maskless school won’t work either.
