Do your job

I’m disappointed that the majority of Harnett residents have refused vaccinations, but I’m ashamed of those parents who marched in favor of “exercising their rights” to send their children to school without masks, endangering the lives of teachers and students [“District flips on masks, again,” Sept. 17]. To protesting parents: Do your job. Keep all school children, especially those too young for vaccinations, as safe as possible by having your children wear masks at school or on buses. To board of education members who voted not to enforce the mask mandate in Harnett County Schools: Do your job. Ensure our school children are safely educated and that our teachers can teach in a safe environment rather than forcing your own misguided beliefs onto innocent children or appeasing parents to keep political power.
