A prayer vigil and unity march is planned for 6 p.m. in Coats Sunday, organized by a second cousin of George Floyd.
Rev. Brian Davis says the group will start the march on North McLean Street in the neighborhood where he grew up, formerly known as J-Town and Sunny Acres, at 6 p.m.
The procession will proceed down McLean Street to Robert Eason Drive to Dooley Street and to the Coats Town Hall where a prayer will be offered for the town and police before a final three-block walk to the Coats Museum for a final prayer and vigil.
This will be a peaceful assembly, Davis says, and he encourages all who would like to participate to come.
Masks and water will be available.
