DUNN — Mrs. Wanda Faye Page Pope, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab in Dunn.
Mrs. Pope was born in Harnett County March 9, 1937, to the late Lee Roy and Mary Eva Turner Page. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Pope; son-in-law, C.S. Godwin; and brother-in-law, Wayne Avery.
Mrs. Pope was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted Christian. She enjoyed meeting people and had many friends. She also enjoyed helping others in any way she could.
Mrs. Pope retired from Harnett Primary School and continued after retirement working in food service in other Harnett County schools.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Prospect Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Pope is survived by a son, Mark Lloyd Pope and fianceé, Mendy Burns of Randleman; daughter, Shirley P. Godwin (Ricky Edwards) of Dunn; sister, Mary P. Avery of Erwin; grandchildren, Danny Carl Pope and fianceé, Morgan Hallenbeck and Brandon Arthur Pope; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn Rose Pope and Jeremy Craig Pope.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
